Mountain and Outdoor Activities are, by definition, hazardous pursuits with an inevitable increase in risk when these pursuits become more demanding. All participants in our activities must take this consideration very seriously as participation is also acknowledgement and acceptance of these risks.

I understand climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. By participating in these activities I am aware of and accept these risks as well as responsibility for my own actions and involvement.

Safety Policy (UK)

A key outcome for Nomad Mountaineering to educate and equip people to mitigate risk and deal with unforeseen circumstances in outdoor pursuits. We cannot remove all risk to ourselves, our instructors or our clients so we ask all clients to carefully consider the scope of the courses against considerations of skill, fitness and acceptance of risk. All our activities and equipment are assessed by a series of thorough risk assessments and method statements.

Nomad Mountaineering utilises carefully vetted and fully qualified freelance instructors and holds Public Liability Insurance. Our instructors also hold public liability or, in some cases, are covered through our policy. We always recommend clients take our personal injury and cancellation insurance and can advise accordingly on who provides this.
